The impetus for starting t.h. gallery was a need to connect with a larger artistic community. I recently relocated to a rural area of a smallish town on Vancouver Island and I discovered the therapeutic value of virtually connecting with people via Facebook (smile). This led me to the idea of building a virtual space focused specifically on reconnecting with people who I studied with at Mount Allison University. Through this venture I would like to provide a forum for sharing work.

The goal is to showcase the work of artists enrolled in the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University between 1986 and 1990. The work may be in progress, a complete body of work, experimental, old or new.

In terms of images they need to be 670 x 300 pixels (or fit inside that dimension on the small side ie. 300 x 300). I think a minimum of 1 image to a maximum of 20 images, with an artist’s statement or short explanation of the work would be a good starting point. The presentation will be informal and dependant on the materials provided by the artist.

I hope that people will join the Facebook page to make sure the community grows to include everyone from those fours years as I am only connected to a few folks. The intent of the Facebook page is also to provide a common area to contribute constructive comments and start conversations around the work.

Please get in touch with me via the contact page if you want to share some of your creative output with your fellow classmates from the bad old days.
